The cut is where a video is made

What AI does well in an edit, what a person still decides, and how Shorts are cut from a long video, all shown in Cinetana's own editor.

The topic

Cinetana's Editor lays the narration, the shots, the captions and the music on one timeline. AI helps with the slow parts: placing shots against the voice, writing captions, reframing a wide shot into a vertical one, and finding moments worth a Short.

What it does not do is decide what the video is about or when a cut feels right. A person still watches every edit before it leaves the studio. This topic describes our editor only. It does not rank or compare other tools.

In the studio
Step 01Lay the voice firstThe narration sets the timing. Shots, captions and sound effects are placed against it, line by line.
Step 02Reframe and trimWide shots are reframed for vertical, and dead air is trimmed, with a person approving each change.
Step 03Cut the ShortsThe Shorts tab suggests moments from the long video; we pick, reframe and caption the ones that stand alone.
Step 04Export and reviewEvery render is watched end to end before upload. Exports that look right in preview but wrong on export are sent back.
